Can I complete pre-primary teacher training faster?
The published durations are 6, 10, 12 and 18 months for the four levels. Because study is self-paced, some learners finish their work sooner; ask admissions whether early completion is allowed for your level and how assessment and certification timing would work.
What this means in practice
Fast completion only helps if you also build practical skill. Schools test you with a demo lesson, not a certificate date.
If you want to finish sooner
- Study daily rather than weekly
- Submit assignments as soon as each module ends
- Arrange teaching practice early
- Ask your tutor for feedback promptly
If you need more time
Ask admissions about extensions before your course end date.
Quality over speed
Finishing early is useful only if you still learn the skills. Schools test what you can do, not how fast you finished. If you plan to speed up, keep time for practice with children and for reflecting on tutor feedback. A realistic plan might add one or two extra study sessions a week rather than trying to finish everything in a few weeks.
Practical next steps
- Ask admissions about early completion rules.
- Create a study plan with deadlines.
- Combine study with practice.
