Can I upgrade from the Certificate to the Diploma or PG Diploma?
Yes, progression is possible: many learners start with the 120-hour Certificate and move to the 200-hour Diploma (12th pass) or the 240-hour PG Diploma (graduates). APTTI's FAQ says graduates can join the PG Diploma directly without doing the Diploma first. Ask admissions whether any credit or fee adjustment applies when you upgrade.
What this means in practice
Starting small lets you test whether early-years teaching suits you before committing more time and money.
Typical progression routes
- 10th pass: Certificate, then Diploma after completing 12th
- 12th pass: Certificate or Diploma, then PG Diploma after graduating
- Graduate: PG Diploma directly, or the Integrated PG Diploma
Questions to ask before upgrading
Is there any credit for completed hours? What is the fee difference? Will I receive both certificates?
Planning a progression path
Write down a two or three-year plan. For example: Certificate now while working as an assistant, Diploma next year after completing 12th, then a lead teacher role. Or: PG Diploma after graduating, two years' experience, then a move to a Gulf school. Each step should build on the last. Keep your certificates, assignments and references together so you can show your progress when you apply for the next level or job.
Practical next steps
- Finish your current level.
- Check your eligibility for the next level.
- Ask admissions about credit and fees.
