What study materials are provided in the pre-primary course?
APTTI provides online course modules with 24/7 access and unlimited downloads, plus tutor support and guidance. Materials cover child development, teaching methods, language and creative activities, classroom management and lesson planning. Some APTTI programmes also offer webinars and expert chat sessions; ask admissions about live sessions for your level.
What this means in practice
You will also need simple classroom materials for practice: picture cards, crayons, play dough, blocks, a few picture books and recycled items.
Build your own resource kit
- Alphabet and picture cards
- Counting objects: buttons, seeds, bottle caps
- Story books and puppets
- Crayons, chalk and clay
- A song and rhyme list in English and the home language
Free reference materials
The NCF-FS from NCERT, UNICEF's learning-through-play resources and the EEF Early Years Toolkit are useful, free and evidence-based.
Organising your materials
Create one folder per module on your device and a matching section in a notebook. Save downloads with clear names and note the date. Keep a separate 'ideas bank' file for activities you want to try, and a 'questions' list for your tutor. At the end of the course, you will have a personal resource library you can use for years, which is especially useful when you start in a new school.
Practical next steps
- Download modules when you start.
- Create a folder for each module.
- Start your resource kit early.
